Organic Chestnut Gnocchi
Nick and the team at Cornwall Pasta Co are super excited to finally be able to share with you their new Organic Chestnut Gnocchi.
This isn’t any old Gnocchi, this is Organic, made with Chestnut flour that is sailed over ‘port to port” from one of their selected regenerative and organic producers.
Port to Port you say? Yes, it is sailed (by sail alone) on a beautiful old wooden clipper to their home harbour Mylor, Cornwall.
The voyage takes around 6 days, weather dependant, to reach Mylor from Portugal.
The taste is divine, sweet and rich with a deep nutty flavour that leaves you wanting more.
Is this the most sustainable product in Britain? Some say it is.

Unfortunately, this specific chestnut gnocchi didn't live up to expectation experience due to the fact you can barely detect any real chestnut authentic notes not to mention a challenge to cook with getting the consistency right without it turning to mush. Also cooking time instructions isn't reflected correctly, 15 minutes is far too long(luckily for me as a self taught cook from a tender young age I have the confidence to ignore all cooking instructions anyway but rely on common sense).
